Thermostat: best deals?

Hi, everyone. I just purchased a three year old corn plus 60 gallon tank off Craigslist. The heat mat that came with it is not only too small, but doesn't have a thermostat. I've been using a heat lamp, but I know I need to purchase a under tank heater and thermostat. Amazon has this to offer:
http://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-ReptiTherm®-Under-Heater/dp/B0002AQCLO
At the bottom it has the mat and thermostat togethet for $44.93. Is that a good deal? I just spent several hours researching and this looks good. What do you think of the heat mat? I've read good things about the brand.
Thanks!

I posted this review of the Hydrofarm thermostat in a different thread but i'll just copy/paste it here too...

the hydrofarm thermostat works very well, although it doesn't keep the temp constant. it will turn the UTH on as soon as the temp gets more than 2 degrees lower than the set temp and it will turn it off after it gets to the set temp. for example if you have the temp set at 85 degrees it will turn on at 82.8 degrees and will turn off at 85 degrees. however i have noticed that because it turns it on and off rather than maintaining a constant temp, the temp can get as high as 2 degrees above the set temp where the probe is. so that's just something to keep in mind when setting the temp on it.

Most thermostats do that though. That's how a lot of them work.

That thermostat is a really good brand, used by a lot of members here. In my opinion ZooMed makes great UTHs, and you are saving over $55! That is an awesome deal. Go for it.

Thanks, everyone! I placed my order yesterday, so hopefully I'll have the stuff by next week. I'm concerned about feeding my snake before receiving the thermostat, but I guess that the previous owner used the small UTH for years, so maybe I should try using it without a thermostat instead of waiting an additional week to feed her. Sienna is a three year old female corn snake. I got her off Craigslist last Monday, July 9th. She is used to being fed F/T every weekend, though I plan to feed live mice. So, should I wait for the thermostat, or feed her sooner? I'd appreciate any advice since I'm a new snake owner.

Feeding live is really not recommended. There are so many risks involved. Live mice can bite and injure or even kill your snake. They also may carry diseases or parasites that freezing will kill. It is also more humane for the mouse. Frozen mice are also cheaper if you buy many at once and you can buy a couple weeks worth and keep them in the freezer, instead of going to the pet store every week. Feeding f/t is way safer for everyone.

You should probably wait until you get a thermostat and some frozen mice to feed her. A couple of weeks without food won't do any harm.
