Not to be rude but you should of started a new thread to get better results.
Again use the search section for more info. But the "hot" side should be in the low eighty and the cool side in the upper seventys if that help, and that for taking care of the corn snake while your friend getting there life back in order
Good Luck.

What's going on with the helixes? I was going to get one in a few months but now I'm a bit worried lol!

They are now made overseas :twoguns:

They are supposed to bring the operation back, well were suppoed to last month and they are still boating them in so to speak.. I have stopped carrying them due to problems with unit failure... Herpstat is what up and coming....:)

Thanks Standard, but I have a $30 themostat that is 3 months old and no longer works properly. I'd just prefer to pay the extra and be set for a good long time. :)

*edit
AHHHHHH
Thanks justcage

yeah i agree id rather spend a little more now and buy something good than have my thermostat fry have to buy a new one and end up with dead or ill snakes. im buying this because i want to try and make their environment as good for them as possible so i dont wanna go chincing out on something this important. thank you all for your help and please if anyone else has any comments post. also if youve used more than one thermostat and want to compare or a certain one you have has a useful feature or is missing something important that might not be shown in the small item descriptions they show online please add that in also.

justcage i was just on your website for the 50th time in about 4 days looking at thermostats and ive narrowed down my choices to the dual johnson unit and the dual ranco unit. which is better and for what reasons. i was almost sold on the ranco until i saw the johnson was so similar and got good reviews. this is a very important decision for me here so im trying to get all the info i can beforehand.

Well actually as far as what they do and how they do it, they are exactly the same. I actually prefer the Johnsons as they are smaller and have a green LED on the front to let you know that the power is on or off. They also have a metal probe as opessed to the plastic probe ont he Rancos. The metal probe makes them respond faster to a temp flux.. I have one Ranco in use right now and it is controlling the room heat the rest are either JC's or herpstats... Shoot me an email if ya like if you need any futher information.. Hope this helps,
-Matt
