taken just after they where put back in their home, we switched to plantation soil from aspen & they seem to just love it.
 
the red looks like a normal/classic and female based on the tail and the other looks like an anery and male based again, on tail shape.
 
If you plan on cohabbing them as they grow, you may well need a more reliable method of sexing them than opinions from strangers looking at photos. If they are a mixed pair and the mate too early, you'll be putting the female at great risk. Corns bred too early often die.
 
they are cohabiting together right now but I plan on separating them. at what age could they possible breed so I make sure they are separated for sure before then. I know the female has to be at least 3 yrs old for safe breeding but how young might they start
 
They can breed sooner than people would think. The best plan is to get them separated as soon as you can. There are other issues that can arise when cohabbing, not just early breeding.

Snakes don't understand safe time to breed, they need to be separated now. Breeding is not the only reason for not cohabbing. Do a little search on cohabbing, it might be helpful for you.
