These were sold to me as leatherback and silkie. HELP!

You were ripped off, one is a leatherback but the other is a normal scaled dragon. The leather (top one) looks to be a yellow phase, possible a citrus and the bottom one is either a red or orange. No way knowing the exact line name unless you know what the parents are.
A silkie is totally scaleless, no spines at all. Very weird looking but kinda cool.

Okay cool. So these two are "siblings" Could you explain to me the het process? So leatherback x leatherback will make silkies?

Leatherback is a codom gene. So you can breed a leather to a normal and get roughly half leathers and half normals. Leatherback is also a "visual het" of sorts for silkback. Silkies require slightly different care and a little extra attention.

You have a leatherback and a normal, but both are very cute.

Okay, cool. I was reading links that were way old when silkies were still new. So I wanted to be sure.

Thanks for the tips. I'd like a silk, which is what I paid for.. I'm quite upset. UGH!

Agree with the rest on ID. I'm sure you're familiar with the BOI, lest the seller doesn't resolve? This could well be an honest mistake, but I'd expect someone working with the gene to be familiar enough with it to identify the animals s/he's producing. Let us know what he/she says.
