this is what i get for cleaning her cage! funny story

saraelf69

sick'em felix
i clean her cage and wash all her hides and her log so for her to thank me i let her in the cage after she ate but i left the log out to dry. so she was wandering around the edges just checking what i did then she realizes i left out her favorite log.

she slowly slides over to her water bowl and CRAPS in it then slides out and look at me. :grin01: so i say sorry and put the log in the cage, change her fresh water and i move around her house to give her viv another look.

BAD IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

she gets soo pised that she starts throwing a temper tantrum. she kicks up the aspen, puts the rest of her crap in the water and bangs her tail against the glass. i put it back the way it was and i left her alone. she just moves in her house and stays there.

:shrugs: sorry felix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:) that is brilliant, us humans are not the only ones to have a paddy when things are right then!

Maybe she will be in a better mood when she shows her face again :crazy02:

LOL, Sounds like she likes it just the way it is... I was a little nervous about changing my amels viv around thinking it might stress him but couldn't help it any longer and changed it anyway. He cruised his whole viv checking everything out and found some new hiding spots, so I just think his monthly viv cleaning and redecorating as animal enrichment...

i told her sorry and i backed away :shrugs:

my boyfriend said "yup she is definitely female"

:grin01:

My amel did the same thing when I put him in his freshly-changed cage. He ran around checking everything out, and then decided to poop on his new bedding. Just like a cat who pees in the litter box, right after you scoop it out.

 that story has certianly cheered everyone up, us females are just classic. if we don't like something we just have to let it be known :)

what i get for NOT cleaning her cage!

saraelf69, i can so identify with that.

the other day i could tell from the smell that kiki must have pooped, but searching for the viv, i couldn't find the poop. at that point kiki came out of her hide and headed towards the poop spot, stopped at a 10 cm distance, pointing her head in that direction, and looked at me accusingly, as if to say: what about THAT? then she headed back to her hide so that she is out of the way of cleaning.

so smug

while i was cleaning, she stuck her head out of the hide and observed my every movement. after i closed the viv door, she came out of the hide again and went about checking everything. i could almost hear her mentally ticking a long list off!

maybe she is just attracted by the smell and expecting a mouse or sth, but it doesn't stop me from calling her "princess on the bean" for now!

LOL... I wish mine would tell me when she does it, she hides them!

Treasure rarely poops in his viv, he holds it until after he eats, then lets it lose in the feeding viv hehe. But when he does poop in the viv, the little brat does it under the substrate, so I don't know its there until I smell it, then I need to pull EVERYTHING out of the viv and search for it.

Hunter does it out in the open or inside a hide, which he refuses to use for hiding, he prefers to live under his plants hehe.
