This is where I live!

J9 this is a great idea. I don't have pictures of just scenery so you will have to look at my family as well. These pictures are all with in 50 miles of my home. The elevation changes from 2000 feet to 8000 feet so flora and fauna are varied.

This is the Red Mountain, I can see it right now out my office window. There is normally not a water fall here. We had a hard rain that caused the water fall and then a big wind came up and blew it over the mountain.

This is SWMBO about a mile from my house.

My family spends every possible moment with wet shoes. This is some of the places we do that.

Those are excellent Wade, thankyou! I love that waterfall, what a great photo! It looks like you live in a beautiful area and enjoy it to the full!

View from my front porch. City of Reno. If you can make out the two tall buildings the one on the right "Grand Sierra Resort" (casino) and the one on the left is another casino called "The Nugget"

And this last one is from my front porch but facing away from the city.

Those are great! What are those mountains called?

I don't have any personal pictures of my town on this computer, but I found a wonderful album on Flickr that can help show the town I live in. It's a tiny town with about 1,500 people living here. There isn't much, but I still like it a lot.

Here's our City Lake in the autumn, which is really nice. I've gone herping here a few times, but never found anything.

Here's another view of the lake, with everything covered in ice. This happens a lot here. LOL

This is one of the gazebos at the lake.

We have lots and lots of trees here. Here's a view.

A view of one of the churches here in town. We have 4 or 5 of them here.

Here's a view of our yearly parade. This is our main street.

I'm not sure where this is, but I thought it was pretty.

And the last one. This is what our town was built around in the early 1800s, and in fact our town was named after a Railroad Conductor. I hear them all the time, and it's almost comforting to me now. A lot of people find it irritating.

Everyone's pictures are so lovely! I have a few places that I call home. (Pictures aren't mine unless otherwise noted...)

Dallas, Texas and some of the places that make it special (to me)...

Skyline!

Home of the Texas State Fair.

dallasarb.jpg

Dallas Arboretum. Such a relaxing place...

dallas-world-aquarium.jpg

Dallas World Aquarium! Love, love, love this place!

College Station, Texas. Simple college town with big personality and an even bigger university!

Century Tree. Lots of traditions surround this ancient tree.

Dante posing in the famous Texas bluebonnets.

I seem to recall that giant cowboy in an episode of king of the hill...

The aquarium looks cool, even just from the outside.

Yes, that's Big Tex. He gives me the creeps, so I take great effort in avoiding him whenever I attend.

And yes! Such a cool aquarium. It has an indoor rainforest complete with monkeys, birds, reptiles, and MANATEES! They used to have a room with panthers, too. Not sure if that's still the case as it usually changes yearly.

I love this thread! It's fun to see where everybody lives. :) I live in Boulder, Colorado...I mostly got these pics from google. I don't think I can fit enough pictures in one post to do justice to the scenery here, so this is mostly just places in the city.

This is the best aerial shot I could find, I think it might be a little outdated though…all those red roofs are part of the University of Colorado.

You can see the mountains from everywhere in the city. (This is the only pic out of these that I took.)

Here's a small part of the Pearl Street mall. It's a big downtown pedestrian mall that has tons of restaurants and a lot of interesting shops. There are fountains, sculptures, etc. It's a good place to watch people, and in the summer there are always plenty of street performers.

The court house is also on Pearl Street. I can't find a good pic but it looks awesome when they decorate it for Christmas.

This is the Dushanbe Tea House which was given to us by Dushanbe, Tajikistan. I always bring people from out of town there and everybody seems to love it.

Inside the tea house...parts of the ceiling are carved & painted as well.

I had a heck of a time finding ANY pictures of this, and this one is the best I could come up with. This star up in the mountains gets lit up every night between Thanksgiving and sometime in early January. This picture doesn't really do it justice, you can see it from almost anywhere in the city. When I was looking for pictures I learned that this star has a lot of history.

And finally...Mork and Mindy's house! :p
