I was just wondering, with a Corn, how long do you usually wait to pick it up after it has eaten. I just wanted hear what the opinions on this where? I havent really started picking my corn up yet, as I have only had it for just over a week. I feed it last Sunday, and I was wondering if you need to wait like a day or 2, or even more right after it eats?

I would agree that 48 hours is a nice safe timegap, unless the snake has a history of regurgitation issues in which case, not until after it has pooped

but if u feed it in a different container, u can carefully pick it up for a second and put it back in its viv. no prob. with that.

I picked my snake up for the first time today since it ate. I fed it Wednesday, and I know 48hrs is a good amount of time, but I figured I'd wait the extra day. It seemed alot calmer today when I went to pick it up and hold it, I guess it finally got used to my hand/scent :D. I feed it in a seperate plastic container too, and what I did was let it finish eating and then I put the container back in the cage and it crawled back into the cage from the container. :)

Ok thanks.. that is about the time that I thought. but I just thought I would check and make sure

I made a makeshift snake hook, so I technically dont touch them, but so far I have had no regurgitation from my corns... The boa is another story...for the other forum(boaforum.com). I agree that it is a good idea not to actually physically use your hands. This is why I twisted the hanger the way I did. All my corns are taken from their viv to a holding tank to a feeding tank back to the viv(I have 5 corns, all happy as clams!!)
