This might sound a little silly

I remember a few years ago when I bred dwarf hamsters, one of my little guys was very ambitions. Little Phantom bent Christine over the food dish. :S Lol. But of course 2 seconds later they ran around again. Lol.
So yea, rodents mate very quickly and several times. There are grooming periods between each "coupling" you know... for keeping up appearances and such, lol. But they get right back at it.
If you want to see if your female is pregnant, usually for up to 12 hours after conception occurs there will be a white/yellow "plug" in the females "lady part". If you see that, then you will know for sure that babies will be on the way.

when i use to breed mice they only took a few seconds but they do it more than once. ALOT! i am sure thats what there doing, or at least attempting too. they'll get it sooner or later and then you'll have a bunch of little babies!
