Hey everyone i am new to corn snakes. My snake is still a little baby, and i feed him every wednesday. Well last wednesday i fed him and he ate a pinky than i left him alone. Well the next day thursday i put a big book shelf in my room and i put his tank on it. Well not thinking when i put it on i opened the lid and just picked him up for a second to see how he was doing. Right when i did that i relized that i was soposed to leave him alone for at least 24 hours and he still had a lump in his stomach so i put him back and left him alone. Well this morning i opened the tank to check on him and he threw up the pinky that i fed him monday. :( could it be just because i bothered him? Also should i wait to feed him wednesday again or should i feed him earlier since he threw he pinky up?
thanks

You should wait until Friday-Saturday and only feed a half of pinkie or even smaller. Check out the regurge FAQ on here and get some nutribac from Kathy Love it's just good to have and probably saved my snakes life to be honest. When they regurge they lose a great deal of the digestive fluids they need for proper digestion and also lose good bacterias meaning bad bacterias can take over. The nutribac replaces what they lost and coats their tummy making digestion easier on them. I would really feed just a pinkie head on Friday and 5 days later half of that beheaded pink. If both of those stay down feed the other half in 5 days and keep with the half pinks for 4 or more feedings coating all food with nutribac as well before trying a whole pink again. The slower you ease them back the better his chances for survival are so don't push it.

wait im confused? Today is saterday. How do i feed on friday? That was yesterday, or do you mean the friday coming up? Because i usually feed him on wednesday so next friday would be even longer. Like i said i am new to corn snakes so im not real sure what im soposed to do again

I mean 8-10 days after the regurge please read the regurge FAQ in the FAQ section here or go to Kathy Loves website and read away ordering the nutribac from her. Corn s will literally regurge until they die and after 2 regurges in a row death is the greater possibility. You can also PM Kathy Love or Nanci they both walked me through my recent regurges and were a great help!! I did exactly what they told me to do and Jaxson is doing great.

Yes, be sure to follow the regurge FAQ VERY CAREFULLY! It is much easier to stop this NOW, before she regurges again. It doesn't matter WHY she regurged (except to know not to do the same thing again) - the treatment is the same. That is, to nurse the snake along with little stress, long time before feeding again, and feeding tiny meals for a while. The FAQ will give you the details.

Good luck!

typically....I wait 10 days and then offer about a 1/2 sized meal...and the few regurges I've had have been singular events.
