Hi everyone,

So I have noticed that Tambi, my reverse oketee of about 6 months, really enjoys my boyfriend's black room, considering he's nocturnal lol. He's been living there temporarily, but I'm planning on bringing him back to my apartment next week. I was wondering if there was a way of tinting his vivarium or painting it black. Well first, I want to ask if this is a good idea, then I'd like to ask which method is best.

I'd love to hear some feedback, thanks [emoji5]

Yes you can. My aquarium people just use regular paint and I'll just make sure it's on the outside just make sure it's dried really well

I am pretty sure acrylic will work. Clean the heck out of the surface... maybe first sand it and then clean it again with some sort of residue free solvent, like 91% isopropyl from the first aid aisle, make sure it is totally dry. This process will give the paint a good surface to adhere to. You could just tape black construction paper to the outside with masking tape, if you want to save the work. Seems like madness to me, but it could be done and I believe most acrylic paint is totally nontoxic, especially when dry.
