He has been laying mostly out of the egg since I came home this morning. He is just sitting there breathing.

He's awfully wrinkley. So far out of 12 eggs, a normal, 3 snows and 4 amels have pipped or hatched. Four to go although one looks like something might be wrong. The amels and the normal all look rather robust while the snows all look a little underdeveloped and shar-pei like. Anyone else with this experience?
 
Never had that experience before but at the pet store I saw a burmese python that looked just like that!!!
 
That was what I was thinking-that it looked like it was going to shed but at the same time, I kept saying, "straight out of the egg?" We'll see.
 
Well...how are they?

I was just wondering how you new babies are? Did they perk up, shed, or what? I hope they are all OK!
 
The babies are just great. From the 1st clutch, 10 out of 12 hatched. One died in the egg and one was deformed and lived about a day. The deformed one had no eyes and its jaw was twisted and pulled back under. None have shed yet. It should be another day or two.

As for clutch #2, 8 of 14 are out. 4 more have pipped and 2 are still hiding. In that clutch I have normals, snows, amels, and anerys. Unfortunately, one snow has 2 kinks in his back near the tail. I am wondering what to do with him.

Clutch #3 has 18 eggs and the first 2 came out this evening. They should be all amels.

There is a 4th clutch of about 6 that was just dropped about a week or so ago.

I have heard that there is nothing you can do for kinks, but you can try make a lil splint? If not well I will buy it anyway if it doesnt interfear with its sexual organs, and for a discount ofcourse :) Post some pics
 
I'm glad they are doing well. Sorry they didn't all make it. I don't think there is anything that can be done about the one with the kinks, either. Does he seem to get around fairly normally? If so, then maybe you could sell him at a discount or even adopt him out? I'm sure someone would be willing to pay for shipping if you decided to adopt him out. At least that way he may have a fairly normal life as a pet, even if he could never breed.

I look forward to seeing some more pics of them! Hatchlings are SO precious!
