Well Ive had my snake since saturday, and he seems to be getting less shy. Fed him yesterday, but haven't held him yet. He is currently in a small critter carrier which will be his feeding cage after I move him.

I have a 20 gallon tank all set for him to move into, with plenty of hides etc. It's currently occupied by a gecko, who will be moving out this weekend. Is it to soon/stressful to move him to the bigger tank that soon?

Just trying to minimize the stress...

i agree or if the critter tank is just the tank you could put the tank in the new tank and let the snake get out on his own. That's what i did with my new snake that was in a petco box. She came out all on her own and she's adjusted nicely. Little shy when my hands in the tank, but other than that i have no complaints. Gonna feed her tomorrow.
 
It's probably the best time, like a continuation of the same displacement. If you move him now he will be getting used to a his more permanent habitat instead of re-acclimating.
 
Currently the smaller tank is in the big tank with the gecko (sharing a UTH) but nothing is set up yet, still need to cook my driftwood...
