Those flowers look like something in the brassica family....maybe some sort of mustard or something? :shrugs: I love the pic of the bee!

I don't know what they are, but the plant has a big bulb at the base where it comes out of the ground. The gophers must love these as there are big gopher holes all over the place. Gotta be careful not to break a leg.

Good to get out and about again isn't. I went yesterday and found only one good snake. I forgot about this board and posted the day on the general chit-chat.
 
I went out again today and found no reptiles at all. No frogs and no salamanders. No mice. It was a wee bit chilly and overcast. It was nice being outdoors, but all-in-all it was a crappy herp day.
 
Although we did see some ever-accomodating turtles at a lake near the Yorktown Battlefields.
