Too hot for Cornsnakes ?

Here in Thailand the hot season has started. It can get pretty sticky with temperatures over 100 deg. F. During the day when we do not run the air the room temperature goes up to 90 deg. F......

Will that be ok for my cornies ? I am sure the temperatures in Florida can also get to that level, right ? :eatsmiley

I used to keep my snakes in a very hot 2nd floor loft.
Get them oversized water bowls, and add a few ice cubes to their water in each water bowl during the heat of the day.

You can also use ice packs over one side of the cage to bring temps down not in the actual cage, but above it. Of course in Florida the heat is crazy, but they aren't out in it during the day so much usually hiding in the cool shade- I almost stepped on one at my mom's last summer hiding under some brush by a tree near a duck nest the kids and I were checking out. My A/C here died 2 summers ago and I keep reps that need it cooler than 80. The ice pack trick worked though I had to be all over thwm every few hours- not fun!!
