look at that face :)
My creamsicle hatchling is in a small container, its kind of little a critter carrier, and its 13 inches long, by 6 inches tall, by 7 inches wide. She weighs 10 grams. When is it time to move her to a ten gallon? thanks, John

You should have kept her in a 10 gallon to begin with. From a hatchling 10 gallon is fine to start off with. Then a 20 gallon for when its an adult. Most breeders keep hatchlings in a cup of some kind.

It's fine that you started her off in a smaller container. But I agree that you can go ahead anytime. As long as you have hides available for her that extra space won't be a problem at all. Good luck with the move!

thanks, actually, i was told by the breeder i bought her from to keep her in a small viv for a while. I've been getting hides ready so that she has a couple. Thanks, John

I've got 25g hatchlings in tubs about that size, and don't plan on moving them up just yet. If you're planning on setting up a real display viv for your snake, I'd buy cheap tubs of increasing size until your snake's ready for the big display tank. The tubs will be handy for feedings, or for housing the next snakes you buy. :santa:

Some snakes I'v seen in the pet stores seem to get stressed very easily with display tanks. Like smashing their faces against the glass. Another way is to place blk paper around the tank, and every couple of weeks remove the front pc, then wait and remove one side each couple of weeks. So your snake will feel safe. If that makes sence.

Or you could just put hides in your 10g like was already suggested.

I personally wouldn't use any pet store as the model of good reptile husbandry

well since i'm only at 3 snakes right now, its not a big deal, either way. I decided to move her. She is in a nice display tanks, all 3 of my snakes are. I'll show a pic after i get one taken. Thanks-John btw, she has 3 hides, cool side, warm side and in the middle.
