Tree bark ok? How about moss?

Hello all,

While I am waiting for my first corns to hatch
I am planning what I want the display to look like.
I would like to use a piece of tree bark I got from the woods yesterday for them to hide under as well as some
moss. Is that ok or should I worry about cooties?

I could put the bark in the microwave and get rid of any mites and stuff but obviously the moss on it wouln't survive that.

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question..I am reading and paying my dues..It's just that I am really new at snakes.

Thanks in advance...

Martijn

If I were you I would rather get something sterile from a pet store. I've seen some things called "Bed a Beast" around lately for pretty cheap... or just get their moss. I would just so I know that it is clean and free of parasites ;)

Tree Bark

I would not use moss. A lot of people like aspen bedding witch I use for a couple of my snakes if your looking for a more natural look go with repti bark very nice look. Just dont feed your snakes on it you dont want them to injest it. Even though it is not toxic.
