Trying to eat head first

I'm currently feeding my snake his first fuzzy, but he can't seem to find the head. He keeps gnawing on its leg and butt. What should I do?

He might end up eating it butt first...it happens. I had one that looked like it was trying to eat it sideways (stomach first?), it eventually corrected itself and went down butt first.

Several of mine are butt munchers, so no worries! Sometimes, if it's taking them too long to get one end down, I take my tongs and kind of wiggle the prey slightly to make them think it's still struggling. That usually gets them going pretty good.

Some baby corns eat like Cal. kings. Most can find the nose of the pinkie, fuzzy, or hopper and decide to eat from there.
Thank the lord you don't work with hognosed. They start eating where they bite it, even when that bite is square in the middle, even when they first hatch, and the pinkie is 1/2 their weight. More meals than not are struggles -when they shouldn't be. Butt munching is a reality, we need to lighten up. And let the kids do their thing.

I have one here that about every 3rd meal takes like 30 min to figure out the "right" place to grab on and get it going down. They figure it out. I used to worry and fret, when I was new and try to straighten it out but it just freaked some of them out....I learned just leave them be.
