Trying to figure out a feeding scedule

Well, since my little snakies had an awesom time cruising around in their new viv (At least i hope so. Might've been pure terror but i interpreted it as they absolutely loved their space and new toys. I was a little less pleased when they prefered the toilet roll to sleep in then my expensive decorated hiding places )

I don't know when my snakes is hungry really. Or if he would like 1 or more pinkies (I feed life, and i don't like killing the ones that are 'leftover') Now since the viv is really huge compared to the snakes i wondered if i could make a place to put the mice in. Like a small bowl with paper towels in and around it. Ofcource i would only have 1 snake present in the viv when the pinkie is offered.
The idea is that when their hungry they go and sniff all around that special corner hunting for a meal. So i know the best time for an offering. What do you think?

I think that as part of their natural cruising behaviour they would go there each day, and this could lead you to feeding them too much too often.
I would stick with setting a set feeding schedule every so many days. For hatchlings I feed 5 days per week, yearlings move up to 6 days a week and then my adults are anywhere from every 7 days to every 10 days depending on the individual.
With regards to number of items at one feeding, I use two when they are ready to move up a size, and then move up a size and go back to offering one again.
