He's very pretty! Do stripes always have an uncheckered ventrum like that? Am I just realizing that now?? Like a motley?

Yep, stripe & motley share the same locus. Rarely, there are some belly markings on stripes and/or motleys, though often you will see color on a stripe's belly... just like this great lookin' normal. Just one of my stripes have belly color, all of the other motley and stripes I own have bright white bellies. Personally, I like the look of the plain white bellies, the contrast with the snake's colors is beautiful.
 
Yep, stripes usually have checkerless bellies too. :)

Thank you all for your comments on Slinky. He is a SerpenCo. corn. I got him at the Northern Virginia Reptile Show last year, I am very pleased with his color and disposition.
