ultramel charcoals or lavs

what would be the most logical way to create an ultramel charcoal, ultramel lavender, or any ultramel x another homo gene (ultramel caramel).

I would assume to create an ultramel charcoal breed the following?:
Male = Ultramel
Female = Charcoal het. Amel

Offspring predicted as:

---------------------------------------------------
50.00% Normal(50% poss. het. Amelanistic, het. Charcoal, 50% poss. het. Ultra)
25.00% Amelanistic (het. Charcoal)
25.00% Ultramel (het. Charcoal)

then breed either an ultramel or amel offspring back to the female parent?

Male = Ultramel het. Charcoal
Female = Charcoal het. Amel

Offspring predicted as:

---------------------------------------------------
25.00% Normal(50% poss. het. Amelanistic, het. Charcoal, 50% poss. het. Ultra)
25.00% Charcoal (50% poss. het. Amelanistic, 50% poss. het. Ultra)
12.50% Amelanistic (het. Charcoal)
12.50% Ultramel (het. Charcoal)
12.50% Blizzard
12.50% Ultramel, Charcoal

any other suggestions to complete this process quicker, and with better odds? any input is appreciated.

Also, what about creating an Caramel Ultramel Charcoal? I have a male Ultramel Caramel Motley. Any suggestions on using him to possibly create an Ultramel Caramel Charcoal?

thanks

If you use a blizzard rather than a charcoal het amel, you would get:

50% amels

50% ultramels

all het charcoal.
Breeding together two of the ultramel offspring could get you

amels
ultramels
ultra
ultra charcoals
ultramel charcoals
blizzards

If I was on an ultramel lavender project I would personally find some really nice high colored opals to start with, and get 50/50 amels/ultramels again, but this time het lavender.

Hmm, if it were me, I would breed the Ultramels het Charcoal to Blizzards.....
