Is that frosted look and the yellow head normal for adult Ultramels? First impression was a little bit too frosted for me - but I don't really have experience with pictures of adult Ultramels.

Well they are from Mike Shivers original line. Better pictures of the pair

I find this quite interesting cause I like the frosted look, but won't like to keep anything than "pure" corns. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Hey Menhir, me either, for years I try to keep my stock as pure as possible, that is why I don't even breed my ULTRAS from Mike shivers until this season when they are accepted by the general public as CORNS SNAKES.

Seems that I really lost the adult pictures. The juveniles and hatchlings I've seen looked pretty much corn to me, what is still a little irritating me is the fact, that "frosted-hybrid-pattern" goes along with the yellow head most of the time and that a corn with the frosted pattern resembles the head...
I don't want to say they are hybrids, I've read the whole discussion in the past - it's simply a fact to think of. Perhaps that kind of pattern is some how linked to xantophores in some way... :shrugs:
