Up-date photo's of magma.....

I thought I would give an update on the progression of this project. Magma’s mother pasted away this last spring at the age of 12 years old. I never did get a successful mating of these two. . I believe what I’m working with is the red factor gene/influence. I’m not completely sure how it works, for me it’s just about making the reddest corn snakes that I can.

I held back 3 babies from 2011. Two normals and one Amel. Non of the babies seem to have any of the deep red color that their father has. The female was in shed but look very close to what the male looks like. Here are pics,

Here are the 2012 keepers!

I do think this hold back has the red influence that I'm looking for but only time will tell.
