Hey guys, I have been checking the site daily, but i have been rather quiet. -- reading more than writing. Lurking you could say.

anyways for anyone who may be interested I will update my current situation.

RIP - Snow and Miami. They ate 4 meals each no problem, then refused and i came home one day and they were both dead in their separate tanks :(

Female Blood Red - Growing like CRAZY! She shed 3 weeks ago, and now shes shedding again! 17-18 grams, 6 months old, eats like a fiend, she is definitely my corn snake prize!

Hypo Diffused - approx 1 year old, she too is a big girl and great eater. I can't wait to breed her one day :)

Anery B - My other 2 hatchlings disappointed me, however this girl gave me hope! she went on a 6 week hunger strike, shed and then ate and is now living happily :D

Amel Motley - This guy is HUGE! over 5 ft long, and 700 grams, AND he's SHEDDING for the second time this month, Scary to think he's still growing! :S

Ghost - Approx 3 years old, 175 grams and 3 feet long, I don't know if he just looks tiny compared to the amel, but the people we bought him from believe it's growth was stunted? (Perhaps during incubation?) regardless, he's a great little guy.

Gold Dust Day Gecko - I knew i wanted a gecko, and i was leaning towards crested gecko, I had a great looking gecko viv set up, and when i was checking out cresties, i came across the gold dust day gecko, and fell in love, hes so green and blue its amazing, he was a definite impulse buy, but im so happy with him. He is simply a display so the fact that i can't handle him doesn't bother me - he is my only animal that has a name, Steve Irwin, or Irwin for short. As a tribute to a man who i thought was a great guy. also, i like to imagine he gives me tips on car insurance.

Last but definitely not least, my most expensive, and favourite to handle:
Spider Ball Python - A lot of people don't like Ball Pythons, I don't know what it was about this particular spider, i never liked BP's either, but i saw this girl and instantly knew i HAD to have her, I love her so much and shes awesome to handle, I like how BP's will sit with you and not be so curious/wanting to run away.

Sorry for the long novel, my Camera broke i am hoping santa will bring me a new one this christmas, until then the best i can do is a text update, i will get you guys pictures asap, cause i know you love pictures :)

thanks,

Nick.

Can't wait to see pictures eventually! I'm also a lurker.

I do have to ask is 16 - 17 grams for a six month old correct?
Are you sure you read it right?
Because my boyfriends two month old Okeetee is over that if I read the scale right (I have a really lame one that is hard to read and doesn't like low numbers haha)

its approx 6 month, its between 4-6 months, we're not 100% sure, with the other hatchlings her age at 9-13 grams, she is huge compared to them!

My five month olds are up to 21-26 grams each. I think it depends a lot on the animal, as well as feeding schedule and whatnot. Mine have been fed every 5 days from first shed on, never refused, never regurged.

Nice to hear an update. Day geckos are so beautiful; I'm totally hoping Santa brings you a camera so we can all see pictures of your little car insurance salesman.

Sorry to hear about the two snakes you lost :(

I like my little Irwin, He makes a nice little display, right in between a Hypo Salmon Boa baby, and a spider ball python baby, and under a 6 foot fresh water plant tank! He is a pain to clean though, especially cause if he escapes its goodbye to Mr. Irwin :(. He was a total impulse buy, i really wanted a crestie, but i saw the amazing green and blue of this dg and HAD to have him!

Hmmm... Maybe it's MY scale then.
Since I don't think that's right, since my guys get fed every 5 - 6 days also.
And my Amel was a problem feeder and he's almost two months and my scale said around 13 ish.

I'll have to get a digital one this week I guess. haha.
