Thought I'd check in and let you all know how Stretch has been doing.... I have no probs feeding him so far. Only one time I couldnt get him to eat, but he had gotten spooked by the dog so he refused to eat for a couple days. Now when I get ready to feed him, I take him out of his cage...hold him for a little while. (While the mouse is thawing) Then I pull out his hide, and put paper towel down, so that there isnt a risk of him ingesting any substrate. When the mouse is thawed, I put it on the paper towel then put the hide back over it. That way when I return him to the cage he has a nice thawed ready to eat mouse waiting for him! He eats with no probs that way.... and cause I hold him enough throughout the week I havent had him strike at me at all. He seems to be very docile anyway.
Also, yesterday I had the pleasure of coming home to a nice one piece skin in his cage! Thats his 1st shed since I have had him, so I was glad to see it all in one piece. I keep the humidity mostly around 40% - 50% with mists of water every few days. (A little more these last 2 weeks cause its been really dry here in MI). So being a 1st time owner, I'm hoping this all means Im doing things right lol. Anyway, thanks for all the questions you answered when I got him, you all have been a great help!

You seem to be doing very well. Most of the stuff you can not learn from forums or internet; it helps, but most stuff you need to see first hand. I'm not saying that forums are bad. They do very well prepare you for something that is wrong or might go wrong, but iIthink you are doing a great job form the sound of things. Keep us updated'

That's great, it sounds like things are going really well for you and Stretch!

If you don't mind me asking, whereabouts in MI do you live?
