Walter, she's gorgeous. I'm not disagreeing with your professional opinion, but what about her has led you to believe she may be an Amber Lavender. Did she look considerably different as a hatchling from a "normal" Lavender or Hypo Lavender? Or is it the amount of yellow creeping in? Or something else? Just curious your thoughts.

Thanks,
D80

Drizz,
Here is a pic. of her as a hatchling. The thing about her being a suspected Amber Lavender comes from the fact of the genetics involved in Rich's line and ALSO the fact of the yellows starting to show up.

I didn't want to mention that and see if someone would notice and you did.

I have a pair of Hypos het Caramel, Lavender & Bloodred that will breed in the 2010 season. I will use the male to my Peach to prove her out.
BTW, my Peach is also possible het Bloodred.

Walter,
:crazy02: BOUT' CORNS !!

Vinman can give you all the info you need on these. He originally started the line.
I hatched a few out this year that look very similar to yours as a hatchling.

Yeah I know. I believe that adult pic. is of one of Vin's.

Like I mentioned earlier, I'll prove my girl out possibly next season. I'll definatly have the 1.1 Hypos het Caramel, Lavender, Bloodred breeding next season.

Got any pics. of your Tom???

I'm pretty certain the adult photo is one of Rich's. You'll have alot of fun determining your results. Imho it'd be much easier to prove out if yours was a male. These guys have so many hets involved.
I've posted several threads of my hatchlings & adults. Here is a photo of a male that has proven homo caramel & lavender, het bloodred, anery b, amel. I'll have to look through my notes to see if he proved out hypo or not.

Here are some older pics of the 08's. I need to take some current pics of the 08's once it's warm enough for an outdoor shoot.

thanks.....

Maybe those 'hypo Lavs' arent going anywhere.....LOL

Vin sold me the original f1 hypo trio (back in 07 I think) and I bred f1 to f1 and a f2 poss peach to a f1 mom or aunt last year. I hatched a bunch of these babies. They go through such a dramatic color change on top of the fact that they have the weirdest milky sheen look. Males seem to keep the brighter and lighter colors, while some of the females are close but darken and have less peaches and pinks.

I guess I will have to start posting pics....esp of Dad and his babies..
