what kind of substrate are you using? somethimes if you've got the wrong stuff on the floor of the tank it can cause respiratory problems, if you're in any doubt switch to kitchen towel / newspaper. it may not look as good but if it will help then thats what matters.
you really should take your snake to a vet if you think he is sick. some animal charities will give free vetinary assistance to people who are not so well off. you might want to see if there's something like that in your area.

Creeper had an RI once. Some of the folks here advised us to use only aspen substrate and to raise the temps in her viv to around 90 degrees. We did that and she pulled through after about 2 weeks. We would raise the temp for about an hour 2-3 times per day.
When yours gets well (and I sure hope it does), you can also try the following.
If you don't already have a temperature gauge in the viv, I would recommend getting one. They are only about $4.00. We also got a humidity gauge. We keep her temp around 82 degrees and her humidity around 40%. Since making these changes, Creeper has not had another RI.

The idea is the same as a fever----raise the body temperature to fight off infection. If you raise the temps up a little bit, say around 85 degrees, and switch over to newspaper or paper towels that would be better.
Best would be to get your snake to the vet. A URI is not something to take lightly.
