Using Moss as a substrate?

Any problems with it?

I think my snake likes it, he loves to burrow it. The only problem is it hardley see him, well it's still better then paper towel IMO.

I use moss as a "micro climate" for increased humidity (it's in a separate container- an additional hide) There should be few problems with moss as long as it's store bought or baked to kill chiggers & fungus- I've read about fungal problems with using moss but it's my understanding they are infrequent. I change my moss 1 to 2 times per week (but it's very damp most of the time)
hope this helps
:)
