As far as I know, you don't, if the snake gets too chilly he'll move to the warm side. The temp at night on the floor of my tank on the cool side has gotten as low as 70 degrees (that I've seen anyway). I don't think it's a huge deal since that's basically why we keep a warm side for them. I think keeping the warm side the proper temp is more critical.

Heh, reading thru all your posts, you made all the same mistakes/assumptions that I did, so don't feel bad, the fact that you're here and asking the questions is what counts. :)
