where would I get one of those timers or whatever for my UTH? I found out it get's close to like 87 and I want to give it a cool down time. I bought one of these timers for my lamp, but you can only fit one of those in one socket, then the other one only has room for a normal end pronged deal. any suggestions, websites plz? ty

Is it a dimmer that you want. lamp dimmers can be bought at walmart for $9. You can also get timers which most people use to switch on and off lamps so as to give their snake a light/ dark period can also be found at walmart. If youre having trouble controlling your temps you may wanna get a thermostat you can order a cheap one online for about $30 at lllreptile.com and other online reptile stores

doesn't the temp drop a bit at nights? or does it just maintain that temp 24/7?

well I'd have to take a reading at night, I've only done it during the time the lamp is on, but i guess I could wait a few hours after the light turns off, then see what it's at, but that is just under hte UTH I think, yea, so I guess I could just add some more substrate to the warm side :devil01:

You dont want a cheap thermostat, you would be bett off usng a dimmer if your room temps are stable enough for that.....Here is a pic of the guts of a checp tstat
