I just called my local petco asking if they had any thermostats to control the uth temp and the guy said that I should buy a new heat pad beacuse they have some for $30 that let you control the temperature of the pad. Has anyone else heard of this or is he just making that up? I ordered a thermostat but am getting my snake tomorrow(no way i can change the date) and it hasnt arrved yet and wont until next week. I really wanted to get another thermostat but dont know where i can get one locally tonight. Any way that the uth's do have that setting now? thanks

yea petco employees arent too educated on reptiles most of the time, so im not keeping my hopes up but it would be nice, eh?

I believe this person was suggesting some kind of UTH/Rheostat kit, but if it's out there i would love to know.

Somebody here post a few day back (and gave a link to it) that there is this mat and it looked like a mat that had a temp control on it , but the dial setting was ...low med or high. To me that not control that's a toast selection.

I read a post just yesterday on instructions for building a reostat for $7. Looked pretty simple and would get you by until yours comes in. You would just have to play with it a little to get the right temp figured out.

thanks, i just went to petco and bought a $50 temperature control 100 watt thing. So i just set it up. I am just gonna return the other one when it comes in.
