UTH with wood and tile.

The more I think about our current tank, the more I stress out.

Next "problem" I'm having is how to mount the uth. The bottom of the tank is wood and on top is tile. The tile is removable, but I can't think of where to put it.

I don't think in between the tile and wood is a good idea, but it needs air flow, will the uth heat though both the wood and tile if I put it completely underneath?

Any other suggestions?

What about a radiant heat panel? With a tank as large as yours you may find that an UTH won't be enough anyway.

It will heat surfaces and the air. To be honest though, I've never used one, but they are popular with boa people who are heating large enclosures. You can always call Reptile Basics (they are one company that sells them), I've called them a couple times with questions about heat tape and they are very helpful.

No problem. Hope it works out! You could have a very cool set up in the making here. :)
