UV light

I know that corns dont need a UV light but I heard if you have one it can make the snake go blind. Is this true

I've only heard it anecdotally, but that was from someone who ran a reptile rescue. She had taken in blind Corns over the years, and had observed that the common husbandry practice by former owners, was the use of UV lights.

She thought the effects were worse in those morphs lacking black pigment (which would provide some sort of protection) e.g. Amels and Snows.

I don't believe there's been any empirical study of this though, so difficult to prove.
