Well..I'm going to reveal a little something about me that I usually don't tell many people.....

I'm a vampire...yep...I drink blood and the whole nine...no garlic does not affect me (except the smell does get me nauses), Crosses are fine and dandy..I wear one at times :), and the only reason I can actually walk in the daytime...(has yet to be decided by the plot of this story...lol)

Nah..I'm no vampire...but in all reality...I do have a bit of a goth side..I like the clothing that "originally" was considered gothic, I like any movies or almost anything revolving around vampires or werewolves, and yes I do like rock and metal type music..(no I do not drink blood..unless you consider my own..lol)

But getting to the point..I watched the new show that just came out "Vampire Diaries" and am already hooked..I can tell this is going to be a series I am going to follow NO MATTER WHAT...lol...so I just wanted to know others opinions and thoughts on the show...did ya see the first episode? Does it interest you? Do you see yourself watching more in the future?...let's talk..shall we? ::a sly smile comes across her face as 2 small fangs overlap her bottom lip ever so slightly:: Oops..sorry...heh..
 
I saw a commercial, and contemplated watching the first episode, I LOVE vampire stories (Anne Rice will always be my favorite)..but I ended up not watching it. Only reason is it looks too 'teenager-y' (i.e. I don't want to be watching One Tree Hill in vampire form). It's the same thing that has so far turned me off to Twilight. Who knows though, if I'm ever flipping through the channels and come upon it I might give it a try, it might surprise me.
 
Actually not to dash on your views but why would a Being hundreds or a hundred of years old want to hide in a high school? or be in high school? and why would it lust after a teenager? Yeesh, If i had power and knowledge, the last thing i would want to do is go back to High School with all the brainless drama and do homework.

If you really want to see a good vampire series, watch Being Human. It was only six episodes but it wasn't this rehashed out drivel. Heck, I even liked Moonlight alot and was really disappointed in this.

I like the concept that Vampires are monsters, and not romantic. Why would you want to be romantic with something that sees you as lunch?


But saying that, I enjoyed Buffy and Angel as well. But the next series to have any merit after that was Forever knight. It was the first series to last more than a season before Joss Whedon had his turn at the Genre.
 
I've been curious about that series but haven't gotten around to seeing it..I definitely have to look into that though :)
 
I have had a fascination with vampires for a long time.

I, like a couple others, didn't have interest in the show or the Twilight stuff simply because of the age of the characters. I know the trend of a lot of television is to base things in high school. But that is where is loses me. I don't care to relive all the high school drama, even in vampire form. I can talk Anne Rice all day!
 
I am also a vampire fanatic... True Blood sucks!!!!!!! They really screwed it up, the books are excellent but not the tv show! The first season was pretty good but the 2nd season is horrible I can't even watch it, being a big fan of the books.
