I bred my male Creamsickle to my female Anery in mid to late January. Here is a timeline of what's happed since then.
She went off feeding shortly after. She shed on March 7th.
On March 18th, she laid a slug. On March 23rd she went into shed and laid another. On March 28th, she shed and laid another slug. Now it's March 30th and when I checked her this morning, I found 4 more infertiles. She laid 3 of them outside of the lay box and one inside. That's six infertiles so far.

:headbang:
I'm glad to see she doesn't seem to be egg bound but WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!?!?!? Any ideas??? I hope to get at least some fertiles, but what do you think???

Did you witness copulation? Are you sure they hooked up? The female obviously ovulated but I am guessing that the male either was shooting blanks or never got a shot.

Run your thumb down the females body and feel for eggs. Start about 1/3 down from the head and apply moderate pressure and run your thumb down to the cloaca. If you are going to have a egg binding problem, it will most often be with slugs in a first time female. This would be a good candidate to watch carefully.

They can lay slugs before dropping fertile eggs, so don't lose hope and keep the laying box in with her. It's reasonably common for them to lay slugs outside the laybox and then to settle and lay fertile eggs inside.

Doesn't sound like she's eggbound as they're passing OK (just slowly). I think just leaving her in peace is a good way to go on this. Disturbing her during the laying process increases the risk of eggbinding.

With any luck, she'll settle in the next day or two and you might get good eggs yet.

I had an older female take over a month to lay all of the slugs she was carrying. With luck, you may still have few fertile eggs.

Thanks for your help everyone! This morning I found the last of the infertiles. I palpated her and did not feel any more eggs. Oh well. Better luck next year. At least she wasn't egg bound.
