i went to the local reptile/petstore to pick up some pinkies, the lady working there asked what i was feeding and i told her corns. she says i have this evil white thing in the back that needs to be worked with. she rings me up and takes me into the snake room. so i squat down to look at the snake first thing i notice is a bad shed, then it striking at me from behind the glass.
it is a sub adult snow. so i reach in to pick it up and it nailed me 3 times before i got it off the ground. after i had it the thing calmed down and was ok. i had her put a hide box in its tank and set it back in, as soon as it hit the floor it turned around and hit me again. she said she would make me a deal on it $90 if i would like to work with it. not much of a deal. so i will go back in a week or so and check on it. by then the price orta come way down since they cant sell it with it so mean. lol was a beautiful snake though.
i really havent seen a snow that mean, or any of the corns i have had for that matter.
 
Sometimes corn are psychotic, just not normally. Personally if I had the room I'd take it, I have a soft spot for animals that are really aggressive and no one wants. lol

Not for $90 though.

We got a really pretty and sweet granite this way.
Its a hateling...the store employees were terrified of it.....it had been there for several months and they were afraid to take it out of the tank.
I remembered the "angry Velcro" thread and just reached in presenting the back of my hand....it struck 3 times and ran.
I picked it up and it was terrified.
after a few it calmed down.
But in the pet store it was really tank aggressive....and scared.
We got it for $22.00...they just wanted it gone........I think that is what they paid for it....so they didn't loose any money.

So we get it home and leave it be for about a week or so.
For the first week or so after the isolation period it would strike when we took it out, but we just ignored the striking and treated it calmly.
Its really friendly now and likes coming out of its bin to hang with the kids.

Sooo, keep going back and then after a bit, offer less than half of the asking price...see what happens.
 
yeah i plan on keeping checking on it. they took it in on trade and have already had a few people look at it but not want to buy it so we will see. i will keep yall updated.
 
i think the motley snow will be at the shop for a while, after i told them what it was they raised the price to $129.99 some people....but it looked better and still is evil. i would have liked to have had it but not at that price. but will check back later on it.
