This is pretty amazing. This poor snake going 60mph with this family. They didn't want to pull over..ok maybe because it's not safe to just pull off the highway with your kids in the car...and maybe if you have no idea what kind of snake it is you could be stricken with some kind of OMG it is going to kill us if we open the door moment...but really. Pull off the road. I can not identify snakes by sight, but my extremely newbie guess is that this is non venemous maybe a corn?
 
Its hard to tell with all the movement but I would go with a rat or corn snake. Poor guy. Not pulling over to let it crawl away is just as bad as driving with something moving all over your windshield on the interstate at those speeds. Then to let it just fall off the car like that, that is one lucky snake if it didnt get hit by the other cars behind this one.
 
it difinatel looked like a rat or corn to me--all they had to do was pull over--people can be such idiots sometimes!!
 
From what I saw (a smile and a laugh) they weren't even panicked!! They could of pulled over. No way did the poor corn make it off the highway.
 
It never crossed their minds to pull over? Because it was a snake. Had it been a fluffy puppy on the windshield for some reason (raining cats and dogs?) they would have pulled over in a second. Of course, even if they had pulled over it sounds like they are both scared of snakes, so without their assistance the snake still may have crawled off the vehicle and right out into traffic. Poor snake, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Yeah, just imagine the hate mail they'd get if it'd been a fluffy animal. But oh, it has scales, haha, it's stuck on our windshield! :angry01:
 
You know if it was a squirrel they would have figured out some way to let it off of their car. Can you imagine the howls if they let a poor little squirrel get run over in the road? By the way, AOL did a feature on that video today with followup comments and there was not a one that said it was great that the idiots killed the snake.

Good to hear! I know a lot of people don't like snakes, but I (would like to) think most people would find this heartless act to be just that, heartless.
 
I agree. I was only converted into snake ownership in the past year, and until then never really had any warm feelings towards snakes. I was never afraid of them or wished them ill...just a sort of passive disinterest. But, this video is heartless....they had no more feeling for this clearly terrorized animal than they would if it had been a moth hitting the windshield.
 
this is horrible how stupid can you get they werent screaming with fear as they wer laughing this is really bad why would people do this
