separate, I ended up spending about $170 on them all together - after 2 cages, 2 hoods, 2 bulbs

I didn't I just stumbled upon it! That was the same day I realized I needed to separate the snakes and I was looking around. It was so ironic!

Then you got ripped off.

Nobody should be spending more than $80 on a tank setup, period.

$40 for a 20 gallon long critter cage, $20 for a UTH, and $20 to do whateve else with.

No reason to be spending $180.

I'll see if I can find the invoice.

I found one of the invoices that came with some stuff that arrived before the cages. I just noticed the shipping and handling! :eek1:

I didn't seeing anything about NOT useing UTH with them, and I am useing UTHs, but I put them on a thermostat

Uht

Hi,
I have been using two visionariums stacked, for a few months. I LOVE them! Very easy to clean, easy access to the animals and they are nice looking, they fit right into my decor. They are in a very visable place in my home so looks are important--they are really sharp looking. I am going get the 30L and stack that too. I keep calling the company and asking when the bigger sizes are coming out and every month they tell me "next month". :crazy02:

I have three cornsnakes in one, and a couple of leopard geckos in the other. My leopard geckos are gorgeous to look at, but very boring, so I think I'm going to sell them when I'm ready to separate the snakes. When the larger size comes out, I'll be filling it with a crested and a gargole gecko and a pair of pink-tongue skinks--sounds fun ay!

You have to be careful about what UHT to get as some are not for plastic. The ones that you can use are the t-rex Cobra mats and the one that Big Apple Herps sells called Dragon's Lair. That's what I have, it works great! It's exactly the same as the cobra but costs less. I taped it underneath, used the little cord breakout feature--perfect!!! I've had really good experiences with bigappleherp.com so far btw.

Also, I bought the visionariums directly from the company. They were $79 each, but shipping was only $15 for both.

These are 12x12x30 just like a 20 gallon long aquarium. I've heard some people say that's big enough for an adult corn, but I'll get them something bigger when they are adults.
