Vitamin E for shedding?

Anyone ever heard of rubbing vitamin E capsules (the liquid inside) on a snakes head to help start a shed?

Any input on this idea? Is it safe?

No, I have never heard of that. While it should be perfectly safe to apply vitamin E topically, I simply don't see any reason to. They will shed when they are ready. If conditions aren't wrong, a healthy corn will shed with ease.
