I've had no luck finding where to buy Critter Cages. I looked extensively when I first got Dolly and could only find a kit with heat lamps etc, at PetSmart. A Critter Cage would have been my first choice when I got him. I can't find them available to ship online. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong stores?

Anyone who knows where to buy Critter Cages locally or online please help. I'll get one if I can find one.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Critter Cage" but I assume you mean something to keep a snake in. This is what I have and a link to where you can order: http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/natural_terrarium_large.php

They come in different styles and sizes. The one I have is a 30 gallon, and has a front opening with lock. It's specifically designed for reptiles including snakes.

By the way, the 30 gallon size is the one that measures 24 long X 18 wide X 16 tall in case you need actual dimensions.

I have a few of these too :) I like them just as much. But the Zilla Critter cages normally run a lot cheaper. But like I said I like them both lol.

Try looking at Pet Supplys Plus :) That is where I get all my tanks. I love the sliding lids! I feel much safer with them. I googled them and there looks to be several up in the chicago area. And they often have a sale running on them. I got mine a lot cheaper than the other stores around here for pets.

Thanks! There's three of them in the Chicago area so I'll check it out.

Thanks. Pogie already answered you about the Critter Cages.

When I upsize I may get the next larger size ExoTerra. What I had for Dolly was sold as "for snakes", too. Now, I think it was really "for snakes... to escape from". So I'm much more wary about that designation!

Your welcome :)
I was just there yesterday, and the bigger ones are on sale now. The 40 gal ones :)
If you want the smaller ones, wait...they will be on sale lol. I don't know how they do it but waaaay cheaper than the other pet stores around here.

Hmmm, no way out here!

I'm glad I'm not the only one madwoman who stays up into deep night in order to watch my snake slither around .... :D Glad you are having fun, DollysMom :D I'm pretty sure this time around there's not even tiniest crack for Cleo to possibly vent out without permission :p

Thanks Jitt. No, you sure are not the only one.

I can't find a crack, but it's not me I'm worried about, lol. Actually, they are so much fun to watch. What amazing little packages of pure muscle and snakey cuteness!

Sorry, but I couldn't resist one more. I walked in, turned up the light, looked in a seemingly empty viv, and then saw:

In your loooong night photo ... she looks so big! Looks like a 3 foot snake! I click on the light at night to look also, and Loopy is usually prowling around as well. Definitely will be moving from my 10 gal tank when he 'grows up' some!

I know. Cameras can be funny that way. I haven't gotten a pic I can use with serpwidget to measure her yet, but she's well on her way to two feet.

Finally, Cleo seems to be sleeping in her favorite log again. She sure was a "crepusculicuous" little miss this evening. She doesn't know yet, but a pinky will magically appear before her tomorrow. Then she'll be sleeping that off for two days. :licklips:

Loopy is so cool. I can only imagine the activity when you move him to bigger digs! Can't wait for those pictures.
