I have 2 females that were gonna be keepers, but I might be willing to sell one. They were born in July of 09. I'd need $75 +shipping. If you are interested let me know and I'll get some new pics. I also have 2 males, they are better looking than the females. You want a pair and I'll see what I can do, meaning I'll have to talk to hubby to see if he'll part with one of the boys. lol

I should have eggs in the middle of June. I'll keep you posted.

Hey Gini, Mine are nothing but big babies!! The whole clutch was awesome. They have the temperment of a corn, but grow and pound food like a king which is awesome. But I'm sure just like any snake, they can be pissy when they want to be.

I am not a fan of kings..sorry guys...but the jungles are so pretty.

Please correct me if I’m wrong. A jungle corn would be a corn + king snake= jungle corn snake???
If this is the case why would you want to cross breed the two? What are the advantages to it and what do they look like? Isn’t there the risk of the king snake eating the corn snake? And does that trait carry to the offspring?
Sorry for all the questions I would just like to learn a little more about it all…. Thank you…

Well to answer a few of your questions

Yes that is Correct

I believe most breeders breed them for their looks. They really are beautiful snakes. Some patterns resemble kings and some patters look more like corns.

I don't know if there are advantages of cross-breeding. I have a feeling a great majority of people are against it, although it has been done with other animals (dogs for example) for thousands of years. (p.s not looking for arguments here)

Isn’t there the risk of the king snake eating the corn snake? And does that trait carry to the offspring?

Yes this is obviously a concern for breeders. From what I have heard some king snakes are more docile than others. I can't say what traits the offspring have for sure. Hope that provided you a little more insight.
