Hooked for life!!
Well I saw a very interesting ad on "Craigslist" of someone adopting out a pair of Asian Vine Snakes..I had never really read up on the species or even knew they could be pets..So I did some research on their husbandry, diet and care..

Well I found out that they are rear fanged venomous snakes and though the venom is very mild, it has been known to cause allergic reactions to a lot of people.

So as much as I think it would be really nice to own a pair of these snakes, for now I'm holding off on it..I don't think I'm ready for a hot snake yet..(not even rear venomous)..The first hot I am truely considering is a hognose as I have heard that they are more mellow in nature (don't know how much truth there is too this)..lol

But yea just figured I would share what I found...Maybe one day I'll get a pair..but for now..I'll stick to corns, bp, kings, and bulls :0)

They sound pretty cool and I looked them up their pretty neat looking. Hognoses and any other rear venomous snakes even though they are sorta hots really kinda aren't if you know what I mean. You have to have your hand pretty far back- when I think of hots I think cobras, rattlers, and cotton mouths, and coral snakes. All pretty and pretty deadly.
