I'm very excited to finally have the internet! It has been a loooooong week without it.
I left Monday morning at 8 am from Columbus, OH and arrived at 9:15 pm in Sandy Ut on Tuesday. The seven snakes I brought with me were not too happy with me, their bins, or the variable temps. It was actually pretty chilly, and the temps dropped down to 69 at some times for the snakes, and topped out at 86.
Even when I got to Utah, I still wasn't able to move the snakes out of the cooler until I moved into my place on Wednesday. They are in temporary containers now, some a little small, but better then transport, with heat and hides. Now that I'm in my new home I'm going to build an awesome rack for them out of an alcove in the house.
The past couple days have been SO crazy--the water heater didn't work, the garage door broke, the phone line was down, my key to the house got lost and the locksmith said that they were special locks that couldn't be picked. I've learned the joys of home ownership very quickly--and that going for several days with no shower, while moving makes EVERYTHING worse.
But hopefully everything will be ok now that I've FINALLY got hot water--once it heats up. I am just excited to be here and have most of the move over with.
Now that I'm in Utah, I want to see if there are any herp related groups, stores, ect here abouts. Any Utah people have any suggestions? Are there any stores in Ogden, or the Wasatch front in general that sell mice, besides petco?
