Believe The Hype!
I Have two small snakes (eating pinkies)...They arent the cheapests at the store especially when u hav a corn eating two at a time...
What im getting at is i was considering breeding mice maybe 1 male 2 females.

1. I hav to keep them in the same room with my snakes will this affect them?

2. Will that small number of mice smell alot?

3. DO they need a heat source?

Thanx

You could also order them online in bulk, if you didn't want to deal with the smell and added hassle of taking care of mice for only two snakes. Here's a few sites. Shipping seems expensive, but when you average it out it actually costs less than buying it in the store.

http://www.rodentpro.com
http://www.bigcheeserodents.com/

I've had personal experience with Big Cheese Rodents and I liked their product and how they packed it, I've also heard a lot of good things about the other two sites.

Good luck!

My friend breeds mice. His do fine without a heating pad ( We live in California, so its naturally warm here all the time anyways ). As for smell, the tank itself is a little stinky, but it doesn't emit odor farther then maybe a foot off the top of the lid. It won't smell up your room, and definitely not your house if thats what your wondering. If you clean it like, once a week ( Just change of bedding ) it more than likely won't smell at all. Hope I've been helpfull

I keep all my breeding mice in my utility room and dont have any extra heating in there but did need air con in the summer, as for smell they dont smell too much as long as you clean them out at least once a week.
