Weight loss after shed (more than usual)

Pilot shed yesterday. Today we weighed him before feeding and he was 323 grams at almost 2 years old. 14 days ago when we fed him he was 344 grams. He is over 3 feet long (stubborn and hard to measure length) He did poop after his shed, but never had a loss this big after a shed. We have been feeding him every 10 days or so since we moved to adult mice. I think it is nothing to worry about but you all on this site are so helpful I figured I would run it by you.

I've had that happen, too. But the snake was acting fine, ate well the next couple of times, and recouped the weight. I don't think its a big issue unless the weight loss becomes a trend over the next few feedings, is more severe, or is accompanied by altered behaviors.

For measuring your snake, try this application:

All you have to do is take a picture of your snake grom an overhead position with something else in the photo that is of a known size and simply follow the directions! Makes snake-measuring both easy and fun!

That's a big poop! LOL
I've had some weird weight losses at times, but as long as it doesn't continue to go down, I don't worry too much about it. I just chalk it up to weighing error or saved up poops or varying levels of hydration. Usually I find either the previous weight was abnormally high, or the next weight is back up to where I expected it to be.
