Weight Update!

ALGeckos

Aimee & Leon
Last month, on September 24th, I weighed in my 1 year & 4 month old cornsnake at 25 grams. Thanks to everyone's help and support here, I just dedicated myself to following The Munson Plan and only fed our new corn every 5-6 days.

First feeding on September 28th was two 2-3g pinkies (because that's what I bought at the pet store after I got him at a reptile show - and before I weighed him at home).

Since then, he's had 3 feedings of ~5g small fuzzies (one in each of the 3 weeks that passed in October). I weighed him in YESTERDAY and he's up at 51 grams!! That means he's already too big for regular sized fuzzies and he's moved up to hoppers already!

I'm so glad that he's eating well and going up at his own pace to the average weight for his size without being overfed or powerfed (which I discourage, so don't worry - I will not be doing it and will never plan on it). He's less flighty, he's very active, and I'm glad that I got a good boy :)

Just an update from that new cornsnake owner who disappeared for a month! Hehehe.

Congrats for the rapid growth of your snake. I think it goes to show, you do not have to overfeed to get good growth. Sticking to the "Munson Plan" is the best thing to keep your snake healthy.

I would love to see before and after pics of your snake if you have them.
