Weird, but cute, behavior...

Mal just ate a nice big pinky, and I put him back into his viv. He paced the tank for a while, acting like he wanted to get out, and then buried his head in the aspen and left his entire body out for about 10 minutes. He's gradually burrowing his whole self now, but that head in the sand look was cracking me up.

Weird and cute! :)

My Hognose will plow around her tank with only her head under the aspen, it cracks me up!

I have a ball python that does something similar as well. Opened up the viv and she was sitting on top of her hide. So she immediately ducked her head into the hide and froze in that position for minutes. It was quite funny to watch.

Usually Mal takes a long drink right when I put him back after eating but this time he was too busy playing ostrich.

They are so funny and silly. I love it!
