... in the substrate, that is. I use forest bed and last night I took it all out, got it nice and wet with almost boiling hot water, then put it in the oven to dry it out. After it was back in the tank (and cooled down) I put my boy back in and after a minute of exploring, he decided to burrow.
Well... He loves to tunnel around and pop his head up, so I like to keep the substrate somewhat deep. This was the first time I've ever seen him actually sleeping under it though. But here's the funny thing. I'm digging around trying to find him, and the little bugger is slithering around on the very bottom as I move it around. It took me 10 minutes to find him this morning, and I had to remove half of it to locate the little bum! His hides are there, but his substrate is now soooooo soft, that I might just climb in myself and join him! lol
At the risk of sounding soooooooo 1999... Dude, where's my snake?
My concern though, is could this burrowing thing be stress related? He was out for a good couple hours (was hanging out in my pocket). I've just never seen him do it before... I'm thinking though he just likes the sooooooft substrate. hehe
