Took the family for a vacation to Disney World Last week and had a blast. The heat was something it took a while to deal with, being from the north. We arrived in Orlando wearing jackets and pants, carrying our bags. As soon as we got outside, we were overtaken with the humidity.
This trip was a complete surprise to the kids. They had no idea where we were going. We didn't tell them until we arrived at the airport and the first picture below is their faces when they found out. This is the first time that my wife and I have gone, so we were just as excited as they were.
Out of the four parks, we like EPCOT the best. All the cast members were great and very helpful and I cannot express how much of a good time we had. I took over 1500 pictures and I am still going through them. I will be working on them for a while and I hope to get a bunch printed up and a photo book put together.
Below is few just from the first day. Now that I am home, I need a vacation from the vacation.
This was Christine's first attempt at flying and I don't think she cared for it too much. We dealt with turbulence from take off to landing in Florida. Then the pilot descended pretty quickly and almost everyone on the plane was in pain.
That was the roughest flight I have been on and I did some chopper lifts while in the service. I won't count it out, but I won't count it in either.
I do know we are going to Williamsburg, Virginia during the summer and that should be fun.
Actually this trip was planned and put together in about 30ish hours before we went, so we didn't know we were going. LOL! Literally, I booked the flights and hotel Monday night around 11pm and we flew down at 7am on Wednesday. I would have come on here and let everyone know but I was too busy getting ready to go.
It was the most unorganized and organized trip I have ever taken. We had so much fun. I did get sun burnt even though I used sun block and I am still hurtin from that.
