What combo makes a rubyeyed ghost?

If you get a definate answer. let us all know! As far as I understand, what exactly causes ruby-eyed ghosts and ruby-eyed hypolavs is not yet known. I would say, if you want to produce ruby-eyed babies, start with ruby-eyed parents and keep our fingers crossed.

I have Ruby eyed Striped Ghosts, but as far as the lineage (that I am aware of) the Ruby eyes just popped up from a random breeding. The original breeding that created the ruby eyes was not done by me, but I think it involved a snake that was het for something with ruby eyes, such as a Het. Lavender.

I have been breeding my 2 Ruby eyed adults and they consistently throw Ruby eyed hatchlings when bred together. I have not yet tested them with other morphs to see what eye color they would produce only because I have been told the records are not so favorable. The breeder before me stated that some of his clutches had up to 20% ruby eyes and some had none.

Again, only speculation, but I bet the test breedings he used with other snakes that produced some ruby eyed hatchlings involved adults that were het for the Ruby eyed trait, like Lavender. I do not believe it it a dominant trait.
