Isnt it just a hoot they think empty tank..New reptile..and worse part is they are teens..so I used to get away with sayin "well when you have the money to pay for it" ..but now they do..But guess who feeds and cleans..LOL
 
You don't have all of the above. Hatchlings and young snakes are housed in plastic tubs and containers. Adults right now are housed in glass cages but I'm having custom wooden cages made for all of them so that's where they'll be housed in the future.
 
At the moment I'm housing them both seperatly in 5 gallon plastic tubs. They are both babies and dont require alot of room right now. I'm excited to upgrade them soon.

question about plastic tubs

hi all,
i am new to the cornsnake world but have done a little research, hence my little boy amel is in a 10 gallon crittercage until he grows bigger then i will get him a bigg enclosure. But as i was reading the replies to the poll i noticed the mention on tubs. How does one go about setting up a habitat for thier snake out of a plastic tub? How would you heat it? Can you attached an UTH to it? Sorry about all the questions i am still learning:crazy02:

You can easily place an under tank heater under a plastic tub. I usually attach my UTH's to a piece of picture frame glass or a tile so that I can move them easily if I change cages around. With a thermostat attached, you won't have to worry about the plastic overheating.
 
My yearling corn a 33 gal glass tank the other 4 snakes are in tubs. All will be in racks after the quarantine period is over.
